Why I’m running

THPRD parks, facilities, and programs are essential, lifelong resources for our entire community and we’re proud to have one of the highest quality public providers in the nation right here in greater Beaverton.

Our thriving public parks help make this a great place to live, work, and play, and THPRD has a critical role in many successful local government partnerships.

My time in elected office has given me the opportunity to embrace a family legacy of public service, and to roll up my sleeves to ensure that future generations will continue to benefit from these offerings.

Over the course of my first term, I’ve gradually found my voice while also becoming a better listener. I’ve developed into a strong, effective government partner while gaining a real understanding of what it means to be a diligent steward of public funds and trust.

It’s been steady, quiet work done largely outside of the spotlight, but what we’ve achieved as a board and staff since 2021 has helped make our community a better place for more of our neighbors. That’s something I’m very proud of and eager to continue.

MY PRIORITIES

welcoming spaces

Everyone in our service district should have no doubt that they and their families belong and can thrive in THPRD parks, facilities, programs, and careers.

collaborative local government

Beaverton and Washington County are at their best when agencies and elected officials build productive relationships and partnerships that create opportunities and make local government work better for more people.

smart spending, Diverse funding

We have a choice in the local services we vote to invest in and our tax resources are not unlimited. By spending public money in smart ways and developing additional revenue streams that help reduce taxpayer responsibility, we can create opportunities for more people to benefit from THPRD spaces and programs.
