Meet alfredo
Hello!
I’m alfredo moreno.
I’ve forged meaningful connections and built strategic partnerships throughout Washington County and beyond in my work as the community relations manager for Portland Community College and during the nearly four years I’ve served so far on the THPRD Board of Directors.
Proudly bi-racial and bi-cultural, I was born into a large, community-engaged Mexican American family in the border city of El Paso, Texas, but grew up a world away in the Southern Oregon timber town of Roseburg. I earned my degree and started my career at the University of New Mexico in Albuquerque, and have lived in the Portland metro area since 2010.
My wife, Kristin, and I are happily raising our two elementary schoolers in South Beaverton, which we’ve called home since 2017.

my work
My role at PCC touches five counties, and helps strengthen college partnerships and expand educational access and workforce development opportunities.
In my elected capacity, I was honored to be selected by my peers to serve as THPRD’s board president last year.
I’ve also been an active participant and leader of several Washington County area boards and committees, and have been enthusiastically engaged in the statewide American Leadership Forum of Oregon program since August.
